Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American actress and singer is a former model. Her most famous work is the lead in the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 Apollonia was a performer/singer born to Prince in 1984 became one of many female singers of the 1980s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in 1959. Her career started with modeling in the late 1970s. She also appeared on CHiPS. In 1984, she was cast as the leading actress in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her surname) Her replacement was Vanity of the female group Vanity 6 who starred in the movie with Apollonia 6 under their name. Apollonia made her debut album in 1988, but it was a fairly pedestrian album of dance music and R&B which did not impress the people. It quickly vanished from view.
