Audra McDonald is unparalleled in her range and the versatility of her talent as an actress and a performer. McDonald was awarded a 4th Emmy nomination in recognition of her part in the HBO film special Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill in 2016. The Bite will be a 6-episode drama focusing on a deadly epidemic co-produced by Spectrum Originals, CBS Studios and Taylor Schilling in 2021. McDonald appeared as U.S. prosecutor Liz Lawrence, a character she first was seen on the CBS drama The Good Wife legal drama in 2009. It was her turn to reprise the role in the year 2018, playing an episode the regular Liz Reddick in Paramount+'s The Good Fight. In recognition of her role, McDonald received three Critics Choice Award nominations. She appears as a special character on HBO's The Gilded Age by Julian Fellowes.
